Our Story

Established in 2012 by Monica & Graham Braun, Monigram Coffee Roasters is proud to be part of Cambridge’s growing and established small business community. With a sincere passion for coffee and determination to build community spirit in the city we live in, we decided to take a chance and become coffee roasters after leaving the corporate world.

Monigram is the Combination of our names —  Monica & Graham.

We found our location in a back parking lot, in a century-old building in Galt. It needed a little love to be restored to its wonderful self but the location provides a cozy space, with lots of free parking.

Since the start of Monigram, we have gained great recognition for our coffee. Graham’s reputation for quality roasting has allowed us to have access to green coffee that no one else in the region or country can obtain. We continue to experiment with coffee and roasting techniques in order to provide the finest quality for coffee connoisseurs and those simply interested in enjoying a cup.

Our signature MadCat espresso (named after our daughters, Madison & Caitlin) is like no other. Enjoy it straight up or in our bestselling americano, latte or cappuccino —always carefully prepared by our amazing & friendly fully trained baristas.

Our model is simple: find beautiful, thoughtfully sourced coffee to roast, create menu items to complement, and establish an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming.
