Hario V60-02 Red Porcelain Dripper

If you are used to making a pot of coffee even when you want just a cup or two, then this great little brewer may well be the answer. Arguably the most popular manual brew method over the past decade, the Hario V60-02 is a newer twist on the classic Melitta cones. There are as many opinions on brew method as there are baristas and coffee hipsters, but, once you have found your favourite, this is one of cheapest and most effective ways to make great coffee at home.

Graham says: My go-to every morning before we started Monigram, a V-60 pour is still my first cup, 5-6 days out of every 7 (sometimes I start with an Americano).

This method, paired with the appropriate filters, is ideal for making single cups of coffee directly into the mug - you can make up to 16oz in one brew - or two cups (but we'd recommend a carafe). It's simple to use, easy to clean and, as long as you have good coffee, may make you put your coffee machine away for good. Reach the pinnacle with a good pourover kettle.

This Hario V60 is ceramic (prettier and better at retaining heat), but it is also available in clear plastic (BPA-free and shatter resistant). Whichever you choose, your days of old, plain coffee may be over.
